  2. How is memorization going?

  3. What's one thing from rehearsal you feel you need to work on before running this again?

  2. Act 1, better than I thought! Act 2...still working

  3. I'd like to really start to picture/imagine Katherine's world- what does her office look like? Feel like? How do her clothes make her stand? What does the street smell like? Etc.

Newsies! Get 'em! - Blocking and Fight Choreography

Great work in rehearsal today! Blocking rehearsals can feel pretty tedious sometimes, but this is the time to lock in and get all the information that you need to move the play forward. Remember to keep reviewing ALL your blocking (dance & fight choreo included).

Journal Prompts:

  1. What was the major emotion you experienced during rehearsal today?

  2. How has learning fight choreography been? These are big fights, how are you reviewing what you've already learned? Is it working?

I am most nervous about maneuvering around the set pieces and being able to learn the staging, blocking, choreo and words enough to be able to easily throw the set pieces in later.

I am most excited to hang and jump off of the set pieces.

Not since I was in Newsies last but I will! So far I've only listened to recordings of accents but I'm heading over to the blog now.
